Based in Middleburg or Nelspruit and reporting to the Senior Technical Manager/Portfolio Director, the successful candidate will be responsible (including, but not limited to-) for -

  • planning, organizing and directing the activities of the portfolio
  • overseeing service delivery to client
  • procuring services
  • handling 3rd party service contracts
  • directing maintenance procedures
  • ensuring that all buildings, grounds and equipment are well maintained and in optimal working condition
  • developing and implementing departmental policies and procedures
  • ensuring that all operations are in accordance with established health and safety regulations
  • ensuring that services purchased are of acceptable quality at the lowest possible cost
  • keeping senior management well informed of area activities and significant problems
  • training, directing and appraising assigned personnel
  • traveling within designated area of responsibility (site visits)
Candidate Requirements

Education / Qualification / Certification

  • Minimum Matric/N3
  • Additional related maintenance and client management training (an advantage)

 Required knowledge

  • HVAC and refrigeration
  • Excellent understanding of client management procedures
  • Knowledge of budgeting, service contracts and leasing agreements

Experience

  • 5+ years’ experience with 2+ years in a supervisory role (RETAIL ENVIRONMENT PREFERRED)
