Owing to this collaboration, young entrepreneurs are connecting with captains of industry through an exciting, interactive online app.

The Mara Mentor App has been ranked second on the iOS Top App charts for South Africa. iOS is Apple’s online rating chart, ranking the leading online apps according to downloads. The NYDA and Mara Mentor partnership, launched last week, delivers a virtual mentor and mentee community connecting novice, ambitious entrepreneurs with experienced business leaders to encourage knowledge sharing among Africa's most talented young entrepreneurs. Mara Mentor is an initiative of Mara Foundation, Founded by African entrepreneur Ashish J. Thakkar, Founder of Mara Group.

According to NYDA Executive Chairperson Yershen Pillay, "The NYDA is thrilled about the top ranking of the Mara Mentor on the iOS Top App charts for South Africa, following our launch of the App last week.

This proves yet again, that youth are hungry for mentorship to learn, develop and perfect business expertise. We hope that young people will continue to download and use this app not only to develop business expertise, but also learn important life skills by connecting with their peers and mentors.

We encourage all young South Africans who require assistance in accessing the app to sign up at any one of the NYDA’s existing 14 branches, 178 local youth offices or through the NYDA, call centre, website and social media platforms."
