The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has confirmed and welcomed the arrest of three employees following allegations of fraud relating to student allowances.

National Director of Public Prosecutions (NDPP) Shamila Batohi has taken a firm stance against corruption, saying it is now time for justice to win the fight against the scourge. 

President Cyril Ramaphosa says the fraud and corruption that took place at VBS was a tragedy against the most vulnerable in society, and that action must be taken against those responsible for the crime.
