According to Kenny Morolong, NYDA Executive Deputy Chairperson, “The memorandum of agreement between the NYDA and the Dr Ruth Segomotsi Mompati District Municipality is a step in the right direction in implementing the NYDA’s plan of establishing local youth offices to allow easy access for youth in rural areas. Furthermore traditional leadership is a critical partner in ensuring that we reach out to rural communities” said Morolong.
The NYDA is intensifying its outreach programmes that are targeted at creating a strong culture of entrepreneurship but also with more emphasis on education and skills development.
