Small business driving SA economy

The small business sector is beginning to take its rightful place as the engine of South Africa’s economy, according to Small Business Development Minister Lindiwe Zulu.

About 100 youth from the Msawawa informal settlement in Kya Sands are to benefit from computer, catering, sewing, beading and art skills development classes.

Free State education to be probed

President Jacob Zuma has signed a proclamation authorising the Special Investigating Unit (SIU) to investigate certain matters regarding the affairs of the Independent Development Trust, the Department of Basic Education and the Department of Education in the Free State.
